The Great Ribbon Rally is for Young Adult Cancer Awareness. We need to unite young adult cancer survivors, friends, and family to improve the quality of life for those who have overcome or are currently in-treatment.
Rico Dence was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia on November 23, 2014 and has dealt with the ramifications of chronic illness, which includes depression along with financial and emotional struggles as well. He has decided to use his experience as a Sessional Assistant Clerk with the Connecticut General Assembly to help other young adults with cancer who are dealing with the same obstacles that comes alongwith a cancer diagnosis.
After attending CancerCon Hosted by StupidCancer, Rico decided to embark on the YAKA Odyssey for Young Adult Cancer Awareness and will begin its journey across the continental United States hosting the Great Ribbon Rally for Young Adult Cancer Awareness. The road trip purpose is to bring awareness to Young Adults Cancer needs. If you would like to connect with other young adults with cancer please go visit Stupid Cancer
